You begin with brainstorming a site concept or topic for your website. Write down at least 3 or more different topics that you know a lot about and are passionate about. Are you an expert on something at your work? Do you have special hobbies or skills that you engage on? Whatever it is it can be turned into a website that makes you money online. It does have to be something that other people are interested in. You can find that out by researching the keywords that people would be using to search for your topic or what you search for on your topic.

It is all about keywords and creating a profitable website around the keywords. There are many ways to make money online such as using Google Adsense, affiliate marketing or creating your own Ebooks or other products. You can research the various ways to make money that will be compatible with what your site concept is.

Using all of your research you can then decide on the right topic to begin creating your website. The thing about websites is that anyone can put one up easily. And with the economy the way it is today, you just can't count on employers to see you through to retirement or even to tomorrow. Keeping focused on what you desire and keep focused on creating you can get through whatever economic challenges you are faced with and will be faced with.

It does take some time to develop and write all of the high quality content for a website and it takes time for the search engines to find you but once they do you can work from the beach, set your own hours and create the life you dream of.
