Making Money with Google Adsense

The Google Adsense program is a system that allows you to place ads on your site and make money when someone clicks on the ads that you have on your site.

Have you seen the ads on the side of the search results or the top of the page when you search at Google? These are ads and people are paying for them. In fact they are bidding on them to get the top spots in the search results. They compete against each other to get to the top of the page. These ads can be implemented on your site through Google Adsense.

All you have to do is sign up for a free account with Google Adsense and log in to your account after reading all of the rules and terms of agreement and start creating the code for your ads. You then put them on your website as per Googles terms. The ads are targeted toward the content of your site so that when an add shows up it will be relevant to your topic. It has a good chance of being of interest to your reader.

This program works best when you create a content rich site on a specific niche - the tighter the niche the better I think. My site www.thebodyworker.com has over 700 pages and makes the majority of my income, but my site www.massagetherapycareers.com has about 150 pages and the click through rate on the ads is higher. The only thing I can figure out is that the content on www.thebodyworker.com is diverse and ranges on many topics - pathology, Swedish massage, massage techniques but my www.massagetherapycareers.com site focuses mainly on massage licensing, massage schools and what you need to do to research and choose a massage school.

Google Adsense does not work well when you put them on your site that promotes your massage business or if you are selling other products and services. The main reason being the ads are most likely your competitors and they take the reader away from your site.

I also read this great ebook last fall called "Adsense Secrets" by Joel Comm and I just did a few things and doubled my click through rate. He just came out with a new 4th edition this week (April 16th 2008) and he is selling it for $9.95 and it is well worth it. The only thing to beware is that the reason why he is offering it for so cheap is that he is promoting a larger product on Adsense sites that costs $500. I took a quick look at it and it doesn't really look like anything more than what is already here at Site Build it!

Be sure to read all of the rules and regulations in the agreement and policies.

Google Adsense and Sitebuildit! Are a Perfect Match. SBI! was the first one to introduce me to this concept and it took me about a year before I actually implemented the program. You can read more about implementing Google Adsense at Sitebuildit! When I first discovered this I know I couldn't believe it either and my friend all are rolling their eyes and saying what the heck are you doing now! But it really is as easy as that.

Find a niche.

Write quality content and be the expert at what you know.

Share what you know with others.

It couldn't be easier. And Google isn't going anywhere soon - in fact they are just really getting going with this. Don't be one of those who will be kicking themselves for not getting in on this earlier - like those who missed buying Microsoft or Walmart Stock many years ago!
