Conscious Living, Loving and Financial Planning

What the law of attraction is really about is learning conscious living which is learning to become more aware of your unconscious beliefs and thoughts. It is the unconscious thoughts and beliefs that keep you stuck and keep you from having the life you desire and the meaning you search for in your life.

Conscious living is about learning to connect more with the feelings in your body and learning where they come from and focusing on the present. Your feelings are what tell you what your unconscious thoughts and beliefs are. It is about learning to accept what is. When you have pain (physical or emotional the first thing people want to do is make it go away. The pain is a message for you to help you unravel your unconscious patterns. Letting yourself feel the pain can often relieve the pain. I know it sounds like a strange way to go but the process can be helped by seeing a psychotherapist and/or massage therapist who is skilled in just being present with people in pain. They can guide you to stay present with your pain for you to dig deeper into the pain to discover the message.

Gay Hendricks in his book "Conscious Living" says this:

At its simplest, conscious living is the art of feeling your feelings, speaking authentically, knowing your life purpose, and carrying out effective actions that contribute to your own well being and the well being of others.

Conscious Loving is understanding that all relationships start in projection (unconscious thoughts) and that each partner has their own history that comes with them. It involves making a commitment to the other person's healing first.

Conscious Earning is making a living doing what you are passionate about and making a contribution no matter how little or big to the world. Becoming aware of your own personal beliefs about money and making a living you can learn how you unconsciously set yourself up for living in debt or above your means. Wanting more than you can afford and not making enough to fulfill your desires is all packed with unconscious beliefs about yourself that say you are not worthy of having your needs met.

Conscious living can be a painful process as you uncover all of the deeper feelings that you have suppressed or repressed throughout your life. Coming to terms with your own choices is not about blaming you or your caretakers for what is happening to you but it is about taking responsibility for your actions. Your actions arise out of unconscious beliefs. It is like we keep trying to prove the unconscious beliefs and often are very successful at doing so.

Becoming more conscious is like thawing out after a case of hypothermia or extreme coldness. The thawing is at first painful but then is an intense warming process. It doesn't happen overnight and you won't be perfect at it. You are human and living more consciously is a process of uncovering your deepest inner workings. As you uncover one aspect and think that is all, there is always a deeper layer.

The process requires compassion and support. Learning all that you can by reading and working with skilled therapists or participating in church groups that focus on awakening can support you along the way.
